Michael E. Townsend has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1974. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of CPAs. He has also served as the Southeast Regional Coordinator for the National Association of CPA Firms. Mr. Townsend leads a team of CPAs with expertise in various areas, including taxation, auditing, and investment counseling.

 

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Townsend served on the Board of Trustees for the Georgia State University Athletic Association. He has also been actively involved in community service as a charter member of the Atlanta Children’s Museum and served for six years as treasurer of his church.

 

An entrepreneur at heart, Mr. Townsend was the managing partner of a 300-unit residential complex and continues to own and operate several small businesses.
